Immigration to Canada is a trend among Skilled workers and Business people these days due this country's welcoming nature and its benefits. Hence, express entry Canada is a popular choice for people who wish to work in Canada. The Express Entry immigration program manage applications for permanent residence under the following Federal Immigration Programs:
  Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP),
   Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and
  Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

The New Two-Step Application Process

Most applicants are evaluated based on their Age, Work Experience, Language ability, Education Skills and other factors.
Potential candidates will complete an online Express Entry profile and those who meet the criteria of one of the federal immigration programs will be accepted into a pool of candidates. The Express Entry system will be the first step to immigrate to Canada under these programs. There will be no deadline to complete a profile and there will be no caps on the number of candidates that will be accepted to the pool.

Anyone who does not have a job offer supported by a Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), or a nomination from a province or territory, must register with Employment and Social Development Canada’s (ESDC) Job Bank. Job Bank will help connect Express Entry candidates with eligible employers in Canada.

Provinces and territories will also be able to recruit candidates from the Express Entry system through their Provincial Nominee Programs to meet local labor market needs.

Candidates with the highest scores in the pool will receive Invitation to Apply.

Additional Points incurred if in case candidate has

   A job offer supported by a Labor Market Impact Assessment, or
   A nomination by a province or territory
These additional points will ensure that candidates rank is high enough to be invited to apply at the next eligible draw of candidates.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada will process the majority of complete applications with all the necessary supporting documents in six months or less.
Candidates stays in the pool up to 12 months. If they do not get an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence within 12 months of submitting an Express Entry profile, they can resubmit a new profile only if they are eligible again.

Candidates with Invitation to apply have 60 days to submit a complete Application for Permanent Residence.

1. FEDERAL SKILLED WORKERS
The Federal Skilled Workers class is the single largest category. Applicants are selected based on   age, education, occupation, work experience, English or French ability, and close relatives in Canada. The objective is to achieve the pass-mark i.e. 67 out of 100.

Minimum requirements of a skilled worker
The applicant must have at least one year of full-time, paid work experience that is in the category of Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B, according to the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC); occurred within 10 years preceding the date of application & is not in an occupation that is considered a restricted occupation. The applicant clearly demonstrates that they have sufficient proof of fund to meet the requirements of themselves & their Family once they arrive in Canada.

 

 

Selection factors
The following six factors are considered by the federal government for selection, if you score 67 points or higher you may be qualifying for immigration to Canada under the federal skilled worker program.

2) Federal Skilled Trades Program
The Federal Skilled Trades Program is for people who want to become permanent residents based on being qualified in a skilled trade
To Apply ,candidate must :

  • Plan to live outside the province of Quebec (Note: The province of Quebec selects its own skilled workers. If you plan on living in Quebec, )
  • meet the required levels in English or French for each language ability (speaking, reading, writing and listening),
  • have at least two years of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work experience) in a skilled trade within the five years before you apply,
  • meet the job requirements for that skilled trade as set out in the National Occupational Classification (NOC), except for needing a certificate of qualification, and
  • have an offer of full-time employment for a total period of at least one year or a certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial authority.

3) Canadian Experience Class (Express Entry)
Under this category, Candidate must complete an Express Entry profile as the first step to immigrate to Canada permanently.
Minimum requirements to qualify:

  • Candidate must have at least 12 months of skilled work experience in Canada, in the last three years (before they apply).
  • Work experience should be full-time OR an equal amount in part-time
  • gained your work experience in Canada with the proper authorization
  • meet the required language levels in writing, reading , listening & speaking
  • planned to live outside the province of Quebec
